The Chairman of the Ghana Branch of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Mallam Muhammad Bashir Aminu Bamale, has commended what he called the fascinating leadership style of the National President of the Union, Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik.

Mallam Bamale gave this commendation on Monday when he led a delegation of some members of the Ghana Branch on a "thank you visit" to Alhaji Abdulmalik in his office at the Union's National Secretariat, Geri Alimi, Ilorin.

The Chairman said that he and his members were extremely delighted that Alhaji Abdulmalik attended the recent commissioning of a Mosque built by a Ghana-based merchant and philanthropist, Hajiya Mero Abdulkadir Sokoto, in memory of the late Alhaji Abdulganiyu Ajibola Alawiye in the Saw Mill area of Ilorin .

Mallam Babamale explained that he and his Branch regarded the attendance of the event by the President in company of some members of the Union's leadership as a big honour as he promised the continuous prayers, loyalty and support of himself and his members to the National Executive Council (NEC) of the Union.

Responding, the President thanked his guests for the visit, which he said was most unexpected.

He encouraged members of the Branch to always be patriotic by conducting themselves as good ambassadors of Ilorin Emirate.

Alhaji Abdulmalik, who also conducted his guests round the Union's ongoing Jumaat Mosque project and the newly-completed Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari Skills Acquisition Centre, appealed to them and Hajiya Mero Sokoto, in particular, as well as other well-to-do-indigenes of Ilorin Emirate to support the Union's NEC towards completing the mosque project.

The President was joined in receiving the visitors by his Deputy, Alhaji AbdulRauf Babatunde Issa; the National Secretary, Arc.
