The National President of Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, has expressed profound sadness on the death of a one-time Vice President of the Union, Alhaji Aremu Sidiq Mannah.
Alhaji Mannah, who retired from the federal civil service in 1980, died on Thursday at the age of 92.
In a statement signed by the Union's Spokesperson, Mallam Suleiman Shuaib Dagbo, Alhaji Abdulmalik described Alhaji Mannah as an outstanding patriot who worked for the greatness of the Union and the Emirate at large.
The President recalled the services of Alhaji Mannah to the Union and Kwara State, particularly as Special Adviser on Security Matters to the first elected Governor of the State, Alhaji Adamu Atta.
Alhaji Abdulmalik commiserated with the family and associates of the deceased, saying that he would be sorely missed.
He prayed to Allah to forgive his shortcomings and reward his good deeds with Aljanat Fridaous.
