IEDPU urges FG to provide more security gadgets and improved surveillance in Kwara State.

The Federal Government has been urged to provide more security gadgets and improved surveillance in Kwara State to curb cases of bank robbery and other criminal activities in all parts of the state.
The National President of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union,(IEDPU) Ambassador Sheikh Usman AbdulAzeez, made the call on Sunday at the palace of of Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Esuwoye
The National President who led over 30 members of the National Executive Council of the Union was in Offa to commiserate with the monarch over Thursday's deadly bank robbery in Offa which claimed many lives.
Sheikh AbdulAzeez who is a retired Diplomat and Security Expert noted that the Security operatives in the state lack sophisticated equipment that can adequately counter any serious security challenge such as the one experienced in Offa last Thursday.
He appealed to the Federal Government to provide more sophisticated security gadgets to the state with qualified and trained manpower that will adequately curb cases of bank robbery and other security challenges in the state.
The National President while commiserating with the royal Father over the incident prayed God to put an end to the calamity in Offa in particular and the state in general.
The IEDPU President later presented the Union's condolence letter to the Olofa of Offa and prayed God to grant the departed souls during the bank robbery eternal rest and give the entire people of Offa the fortitude to bear the loss.
Responding on behalf of Olofa of Offa the National President of the Offa Descendants Union (ODU), Alhaji Najeem Usman-Yasin thanked the lEDPU for the visit and prayed God to end such unfortunate incident in Offa in particular and all parts of the state in general.
