IEDPU mourns Abasskarara

The National President of Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, has expressed profound sadness over the death of a foremost Labour Leader in Kwara State and a prominent member of the Union, Alhaji Issa Iyanda, popularly called Abasskarara.

Alhaji Abasskarara, according to family sources, died of old-age related illness on Wednesday.

In a statement, Alhaji Abdulmalik described the deceased as a thorough patriot who devoted his life to the services of his community and humanity.

Alhaji Abdulmalik, who recalled the several contributions of the deceased to community development right from his youth, said that he was continually a very active ex-officio member of the Union's National Executive Council and always availed the Union of his time, experience and wisdom.

The President sympathised with the family, friends and colleagues of the deceased as he prayed to Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant his soul admission into Aljanat Fridaous.
