IEDPU President consoles General Wahab on mother's transition

The National President of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU)Alhaji Aliyu Otta Uthman, fsi, has described the death of Hajia Maryam,the mother of a former General Officer Commanding,1st Mechanised Division of the Nigerian Army ,Kaduna,General Garba Ayo Wahab, as a great loss.

Alhaji Uthman stated this in a condolence message to the retired warlord and members of his family on the death of their illustrious mother.

A statement signed by the Union's National Publicity Secretary, Abubakar Imam,said that the IEDPU's President received the news of the death of Hajiya Maryam with profound sadness.

While describing the deceased as an asset considering her contributions to the raising of a son,among others, who deservedly rose to the rank of a General in the Nigerian Army and has also been unrelenting in the offer of multifarious services to his fatherland since retirement, Alhaji Uthman explained that the loss of any relation, particularly a mother, is always very painful and difficult to bear.

The Union,however, urged General Wahab and members of his family to accept the death of their mother as an act of Allah as he urged them to take consolation in the fact that the deceased lived a very long and exemplary life in the services of the Almighty Allah and her community.

The Union wished the General and other members of his family the fortitude to bear the loss as he prayed Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and grant her Al-Janah Fridaouz.
